FAQ's

What are some fun facts about yourself?

I'm a born again christian. I'm an enneagram type 4. I have one sweet golden doodle named savannah who is the most graceful dog I've ever witnessed in my life. I'd consider myself to be an outgoing introvert who needs plenty of time to recharge on my own. My music selection has no bounds because I literally love every genre (with the exception of scream-o music).

What do you want people to take away from this blog?

That you're not alone. It's so easy to feel isolated or lonely in what you're feeling/going through. My aim is to help anyone out there struggling with the same things, to empathize with shared feelings, inform or educate people on a wide variety of topics, and connect with my community. At the end of the day we are a community whether we want to accept that fact or not. I want to continue to build up the Kingdom of God and serve in any way possible, so my main goal is to just be of some help in any way shape or form.

Why are you a christian?

Sharing my testimony is something I've been praying about for a long time now and fully intend to share it one day in the [hopefully] near future. But to give you an answer to this question right now... I am a christian because God never stopped fighting for me. He loved me and pursued me relentlessly even when I didn't want Him. He rescued me from my lowest points and blessed me with the highest. He pushed me to grow in ways that I never would have picked for myself but have actually ended up blessing me in the biggest ways possible. God's love and grace when I don't deserve it is transformative and eye opening. Jesus dying on the cross to save me. and yes, you too. I've found my purpose, identity, passions, calling, and lifeline through Jesus Christ.

"And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God." (Ephesians 3:18-19)

Isn't christianity just for weak people needing a crutch?

A lot of people may look at christianity as weak human beings and my response is you are exactly correct. We are weak. We can't do this on our own. I sure as heck can't. I need God every single day. I am a sinner who was dead in my trespasses and yet Jesus was my willing Savior. This world will eat you up, chew you up, and spit you out. The pride that accompanies the refusal of Christ is the same thing that hurts you every single day. satan. look at genesis and how the serpent tempted eve... to play God; to being independent from the Lord and that temptation of being all-powerful. Acknowledging you can't do it on your own, that you need a Savior [Jesus Christ], is one of the most humbling and liberating things a human being can do.

"But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded...Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up." (James 4:6-10 NIV)

Do you honestly like being a student at liberty university?

100000000% yes. That school has truly been the gift that's kept on giving. I feel like I say that all the time but seriously... the amount of opportunities, connections, experiences, and type of education I truly could not get anywhere else and I mean that in the best way possible. I am so thankful to be a flame and I thank God I get to be a student there every day.

What's your best piece of advice for a new student at liberty?

My #1 piece of advice for any new incoming student at Liberty would be whatever you put in is what you will get out. If you don't pursue the avenue of making friends and reaching out to people, odds are you won't have that perfect friend group you've dreamed of. If you're constantly focusing your energy on your social life then your grades will suffer. If you don't show up to the events student activities puts on then you most likely will deprive yourself of making friends and getting to experience that amazing side of LU. If you prioritize your time with God then the fruits of the spirit will follow, and vice versa. and trust me... you will be able to discern different people by the fruits they display.

Any advice for someone who is interested in starting a youtube channel?

DO IT. START NOW. a lot of people think it's too late to start, heck I even thought that at first. But I did it and it truly is one of my passions, and something that makes me feel the most fulfilled. If I would've let that "it's too late to start" mentality make decisions for me then my life would look extremely different than it does now. If starting a channel is something you're truly interested in doing I recommend praying about it and seeing where God wants to guide you. If you feel at peace about it THEN START. you don't need a fancy camera and editing software to have a platform. It wasn't until I reached 1.5K subscribers when I switched from using my iPhone to an actual camera. if you have an interest and ideas about what kind of content you want to make... then I think you're doing a disservice to yourself by holding yourself back.

What are your interests and/or hobbies?

It's been a journey in and of itself figuring out what I truly enjoyed doing. I've learned that the Lord has blessed me with a creative mind so I love doing things that allow me to express that. Specifically activities like photography, filmography, graphic design, editing videos for my youtube channel, listening to music, drawing/doodling (even though I'm not very good), and singing my heart out to some good music (again... I'm not very good).

In my free time I love to spend time with the Lord, read books, spend time with my cutie dog Savannah, photography, going hiking/spending time in nature, and sometimes just being a homebody and binge watch 60 Days In (major LOL).

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

oh my... well, in 5 years from now I hope I'm happily married with a husband who fears the Lord. I most definitely want to start a family and have kids, so I hope by then I already have one kid or at least one on the way. I would love to be pursuing youtube full-time and making a livable income off of my channel. I love what I do & creating videos, so to be able to make my passion a job would be a dream come true. I have so many dreams and things I would love to do one day like start a clothing brand, do missionary work within correctional facilities, start a podcast, own a coffeeshop, oversee a department in charge of logo design or social media marketing, maybe dabble in social media marketing freelance, maybe begin a family channel on youtube, and so many more possibilities that I'd love to do one day. It's all really in God's plan and whatever He has in store I know will be best :)
